In the latest two weeks of development, the Algem team has made progress in refining the Liquid Farming protocol and preparing for the migration of Astar’s network dApp Staking V2 to V3. The focus has been on improving automated tests, script functionality, and code readability in Liquid Farming. Additionally, progress has been made in adapting LiquidStaking for the upcoming DappsStaking V3 update, with preparations for audits underway to ensure a smooth transition. The upcoming milestones now include the preparation for the migration of Astar’s network dApp Staking V2 to V3, highlighting our commitment to full compatibility with the evolving Astar ecosystem.
Smart Contracts Progress
Liquid Farming Development – Danny:
The initial week in Liquid Farming development saw a concentrated effort on refining automated tests and enhancing ALGM rewards calculations. Script updates centralized approvals and similar calls, and increased attention was given to formatting and readability, crucial for sharing code effectively.
Attention shifted to public vault tests in the second week, gathering valuable data and feedback. Script updates related to the deployment process were implemented. All suggestions from public tests will be considered and implemented in future versions, fostering a collaborative development approach.
Liquid dApp Staking and Vesting Development – Alex:
The adapted contracts of Liquid Staking V1.5 were deployed on Shibuya as planned, with ongoing testing for interaction with Dapps Staking V3. The next week’s plan is to conclude testing and prepare the contracts for auditing, ensuring a seamless transition to the updated version.
Preparation for the audit of Liquid Staking V1.5, adapted for the upcoming dApps Staking V3 update, was completed. Significant code adjustments were made to align with V3 mechanics, and the staking and unstaking process was modified for clarity and efficiency.
- Community Feedback Integration: Implement suggestions from public vault tests into future versions for community-driven development..
- Bug Resolution: Actively address any bugs identified by auditors to refine the performance of LiquidStaking.
- Migration Preparation for Astar’s Network dApp Staking: Prepare for the migration of Astar’s network dApp Staking V2 to V3 to ensure full compatibility and a smooth transition.
These developments underscore our commitment to advancing the Algem ecosystem and aligning seamlessly with the evolving Astar ecosystem.
We appreciate your continued support as we strive to provide a secure and efficient platform for the Algem community.
Algem is a decentralized application built on the Astar Network and offers two main features: liquid staking and liquid farming. As their names suggest, these two options let ASTR holders keep their assets liquid while putting them to work. Also, the liquid staking and farming solutions let users use Algem’s liquid nASTR tokens across Astar’s Defi ecosystem to earn staking rewards and make more money. In doing so, Algem supports other Defi protocols by providing liquidity and creating a sustainable and cooperative ecosystem on the Astar Network and Polkadot.
