Development Report – Algem (Bi-Weekly Update)

Overview:

Hello Algem users!

Welcome to our bi-weekly development report, where we share the latest updates from our development team.

TLDR:

Danny debugged the Liquid Staking point system, started DeFiLlama adapter research, and worked on integrating Liquid Farming with Kyo, Sonex, and Velodrome on Soneium. Alex monitored LSv2 performance, set up a Sentio dashboard for tracking statistics, researched OP compatibility for xnASTR, and provided user support.

Danny:

Week of 03.02
Danny spent most of the week debugging the Liquid Staking point system to cover edge cases. Several scenarios were uncovered that caused incorrect point calculations and referral mismatches, which were subsequently fixed.
Additionally, research was conducted on updating the DeFiLlama adapter to support a newly added chain. However, due to the significant time gap since the last update, the research had to be restarted from scratch.

Week of 10.02
Most of the week was spent testing contracts deployed on the Soneium network for Liquid Farming (LF) integration with Kyo, Sonex, and Velodrome. While the core liquidity pool workflow remains unchanged, there are key differences from the Minato contracts that required adjustments. The goal was to track these differences and make the necessary updates to ensure Liquid Farming runs smoothly on Soneium.
Progress on the DeFiLama adapter was minimal, but the development environment was successfully set up for further work.

Alex:

Week of 03.02
Alex focused on monitoring the performance of LiquidStakingV2, keeping track of CCIP transactions and conducting additional functional testing. To improve tracking, a dashboard was integrated into Sentio for statistical data collection. Additionally, a scheduled snapshot of user balances was taken for further analysis.

Week of 10.02
Monitoring of LiquidStakingV2 continued throughout the week. Alex also conducted research on OP format compatibility for the xnASTR token, which may be necessary for enabling token transfers via Superbridge in the future.
Some time was also spent assisting users who encountered issues while interacting with the protocol, ensuring smooth operation and resolving any technical difficulties.

Conclusion:

The past two weeks have focused on improving system stability and expanding integrations. Danny’s debugging of the Liquid Staking point system and progress on DeFiLlama research help enhance tracking accuracy and external compatibility. Meanwhile, his work on adapting Liquid Farming for the Soneium network is key to expanding functionality across multiple chains.

Alex’s ongoing monitoring and testing of LiquidStakingV2 ensures smooth operation and reliable tracking of CCIP transactions. His research into OP compatibility for the xnASTR token lays the groundwork for potential future enhancements. Together, these efforts contribute to a more stable and scalable ecosystem.

About Algem

Algem is a decentralized application built on Astar Network and Soneium offering two main features: Liquid Staking and Liquid Farming. As the names suggest, these two options let ASTR and ETH holders keep their assets liquid while putting them to work. Stake on Algem’s new Cross Chain V2 platform from Soneium or Astar Network and earn staking rewards in the process. These rewards are automatically compounded for you with the new Reward bearing xnASTR token so you get simplicity, peace of mind and staking rewards ready to claim when you are.
